Driving a Nissan car, the 42-year-old man was involved in a collision with a Peugeot motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle broke his thigh in two places and was concussed.

His passenger received facial injuries and required stitches to his wounds.

The car driver was one of three people arrested for impaired driving over the Christmas period. All three refused breath tests.
