In the latest incident, a parked car in Princess Street was targeted at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The vehicle's rear nearside window was smashed, although nothing is believed to have been stolen.

"Over the last few weeks there have been a number of cases of damage to vehicles, many of which have occurred in broad daylight,'' said Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning yesterday.
