McWilliams, 28, of Providence, Rhode Island, was subjected to a routine search by Customs officers upon arriving in Bermuda aboard a Delta Air Lines flight at 12.35 p.m. on August 6.

McWilliams was found with plant material in a black pouch which was in a purple backpack she was carrying, he said. Police were called and McWilliams was arrested and taken to St. George's Police Station where the plant material was later found to be 1.2 grams of cannabis.
