theft of a leather camera bag containing their passports, airline tickets and other personal items.

The couple reported the theft to Police from overseas after they had returned home saying that their bag had gone missing from an airport shuttle on Sunday afternoon.

However, officers on a separate matter later arrested a 20-year-old Hamilton Parish man at the Bermuda College on suspicion of stealing. He was found with a black camera bag containing airline tickets and passports, which matched the names of the visitors reporting the theft.

Police contacted the visitors overseas and informed them of the recovery and the suspect was conveyed to Hamilton Police station for further inquiries.

TOOLS STOLEN FROM SHED CRM Tools stolen from shed A significant amount of brand new construction and landscaping equipment was reported stolen from a locked shed located on Perimeter lane in Pembroke.

The complainant said that the shed was secured on Monday, October 2, and he returned to it on Tuesday, October 10 to find an unknown culprit had forced their way inside.

The items stolen include two lawn mowers, two saws, a compressor, a power washer and two jack sanders. Inquiries are underway.

PAGET HOUSE BURGLED CRM Paget house burgled A Southcourt Avenue, Paget resident reported the theft of several items since the beginning of this month.

In total, several items of jewellery, an amount of cash and a significant amount of loose change were all reported stolen. Police are making inquiries.

An amount of cash was reported stolen from a residence on Soundview Road in Sandys Parish. The complainant said the culprit entered the residence sometime in the evening on Tuesday, removing a bank bag filled with cash.

TOOLBAG STOLEN CRM Toolbag stolen A tool bag was reported stolen from a utility van parked outside Bermuda Gas on Wesley Street in Pembroke.

The complainant said the bag was left in a van shortly before 1 p.m. for only five minutes, but he returned to find the side door open and the tool bag removed.

JEWELLERY REMOVED CRM Jewellery removed A gold watch and bracelet were reported stolen from a car parked on Rock Gardens Estate Road in Paget. The complainant said the culprit entered her insecure car sometime between 4.15 and 4.30 Tuesday afternoon.
