Warwick man fined for traffic offences
he pleaded guilty to failing to stop for a Police officer and driving a motor cycle without third party insurance.
Matice Moniz, of Tele Lane, Warwick also pleaded not guilty to the charges of fraudulently using a license plate and documents and failing to give the Police information about the driver of a vehicle.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Kendrick James said he would not offer any evidence on those charges so they will not go to trial.
Moniz said he had insured his cycle but only as an auxiliary cycle because he did not realise it was a motor cycle when he bought it.
And he admitted that he failed to stop for the Police when they asked him to on September 23 as he was riding along Middle Road in Warwick.
Senior Magistrate the Wor. William Francis fined him $100 for having no insurance and $150 for failing to stop for the Police.
