CBS News personality Mr. Mark McEwan will host the 1993 edition of the Bermuda Channel.

Bermuda Marketing Limited owns the channel which has run in all major resort hotels over the past five seasons, with an annual viewership of 250,000.

It gives an hour-long briefing on how to make the most of their vacations, including tips on shopping, sightseeing, dining and entertainment plus information about the Island and its history.

Mr. McEwan will be making those announcements. He visited last year's St.

George's Festival, and says he is looking forward to his return in May for location shooting.

Bermuda Marketing publisher Mr. Ian Coles said that it was a coup to get Mr.

McEwan.

Mr. Coles said that he was selected because of his popularity with millions of Americans as a co-presenter of CBS This Morning, for which he reports the weather and is a musical correspondent.

He is not the first international screen personality to star on the Bermuda channel. Mr. Robin Leach, presenter of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'' welcomed visitors in the 1992 edition.

The 1993 version will premiere in mid-May.
