Woman breaks leg in cycle crash

Edward VII Memorial Hospital yesterday after she broke her leg in a two-vehicle accident during the Cup Match weekend.
The woman was a passenger on Peugot motorcycle which collided with another cycle ridden by a disqualified driver at around 7.30 p.m. on July 30 on Spanish Point Road.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Andrea Browne said all three people, the woman, the 32-year-old Pembroke man who was riding the bike she was on, and the 22-year-old disqualified driver were injured.
The Peugeot rider, who was detained with a collapsed lung, has been released.
The disqualified driver, from Pembroke, was treated for cuts to his hand and head before being arrested.
The woman remains in satisfactory condition on a general ward.
