And Senior Magistrate Will Francis told 23-year-old Renee Baker she was lucky the wound was not life-threatening.

He also said the Police and the courts were concerned with the use of weapons in fights.

In May, the court heard that Baker, of Ewing Street, Pembroke, followed another woman into Swinging Doors and Spinning Wheel on April 9 while verbally and physically attacking her.

Baker shouted and threw punches at the woman whom she thought was having an affair with her boyfriend.

Baker was thrown out of the nightclub, but returned shortly afterwards and stabbed the women with a knife.

The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and treated for a wound in her left arm while Baker was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding.
