committed by men on female acquaintances.

A 23-year-old Warwick woman complained that her 30-year-old boyfriend, who she lives with, attacked her at her place of employment in Pembroke.

Police reported that the man went to the woman demanding money and then threatened her. He later coerced her out of the premises and into a car where he made allegations against her.

Officers also stated that the man then beat the woman about the body and kicked her. He then forced her to a Pembroke house where he continued the abuse.

"During the assault, the man made repeated threats to harm the woman and their child. She finally escaped and was treated at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for a broke nose and minor injuries. She was later released,'' a Police spokesperson said.

A 23-year-old Warwick man detained a 19-year-old female acquaintance at a Warwick residence for 10 hours over the weekend.

During that time, the woman reported that he repeatedly assaulted her causing lacerations and facial swelling.

Both matters are under investigation.
