Work continued on the Tynes Bay incinerator project by land and sea yesterday.

The centrepiece of the Government's waste management plan, the $71-million incinerator is the largest capital project in the Island's history.

Work began in December of 1991 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 1994. About 100 workers are now on the site.

Government has said Opposition concerns about the environmental impact of the incinerator are unfounded.
