Fourteen of the Island's charities have been chosen to receive grants from the Bank of Bermuda Foundation.

The organisations, though varied in their avenues of help and support to the community, all share the common trend of improving the quality of life for Bermudians Island-wide, a spokesperson for the Foundation said.

The Aerie Foundation, Bermuda End-to-End, Bermuda Football Association, Bermuda Island Association for the Deaf, Bermuda Island Games Association, Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association, Bermuda Zoological Association, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Centre for Talented Youth Bermuda, Raleigh International, The Family Centre, The Reading Clinic, WindReach Recreational Village and YouthNet.

Since 1989, the Bank of Bermuda Foundation has donated over $44 million to charitable organisations.
