Woman, 70, hurt in car crashA 70-year-old Sandys parish woman was taken to hospital after she lost control of her car and crashed into a wall.According to Police, the driver was leaving the parking lot at Somerset Post Office when she collided with the front of a parked van and the wall opposite the building's entrance.

A 70-year-old Sandys parish woman was taken to hospital after she lost control of her car and crashed into a wall.

According to Police, the driver was leaving the parking lot at Somerset Post Office when she collided with the front of a parked van and the wall opposite the building's entrance.

The woman, who sustained facial injuries, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The front of her car received extensive damage, while damage to the van was moderate.

Further inquiries into the incident are underway.

Burglaries in two parishes

Police reported cash and personal belongings taken during two burglaries in the central parishes.

Officers said a quantity of cash was stolen from a Pembroke home sometime before 12.45 p.m on Tuesday, while cash and a knapsack were taken from a home in Devonshire sometime before 12.25 p.m.

In both cases, the residents returned home to find the belongings missing.

Inquiries into both burglaries are underway.

Teenager still missing

Police continue to search for missing 16-year-old Troylene Anderson.

The teenager was last seen Thursday, May 21, in the Smith's parish area wearing black jeans, a black hooded jacket, and a pink shirt.

She is described as light brown skinned, 5ft 5in tall, with a thick build and a muffler burn on her right leg above her ankle.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts is asked to contact the Child Victims Unit on 295-0011.
