Breaking News: Police investigate 17th road death

Emergency workers at the scene of the accident on Cavendish Road

A motorbiker died this afternoon in a road accident — the 17th death on the Island’s roads this year.

Police are investigating the collision which took place this afternoon on Cavendish Road, Pembroke, involving three motorbikes.

The collision left one man dead, another who was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and a third man with grazes.

The incident brings the toll of deaths on the roads to 111 in the last ten years.
