Bucket of coins adds up to $1,000
Students from Mount Saint Agnes yesterday donated a bucket full of coins to Bermuda Junior Service League.
The coins, which added up to $1,000, were raised during the school's non-uniform day last Friday, where the students donated $2 to wear grub clothes.
The proceeds were in support of the Coins for a Cause 2008 Project, which is running September 17 to September 30, to benefit the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, formerly known as the rape crisis room.
The Bermuda Junior Service League has placed coin buckets around the Island in order to help raise $45,000, to fund the refurbishment of equipment in the SART room.
