Saleem Talbot, 19, of Harrington Sound Road, Smith's Parish, admitted in Magistrates' Court to stealing from the A-1 Supermarket in Paget between April 24 and 26.

The court heard that Talbot stole $155.56 from a cash register on April 24 and discarded the credit receipt. Two days later, Talbot stole $70.51 from the same register, $39.55 from a second register and $20.92 from a third register.

In total, $285.10 was stolen.

Yesterday, Magistrate Cheryl-Ann Mapp heard that Talbot had made full restitution to the company.

"You are obviously a person with a lot of promise and potential,'' Mrs. Mapp told Talbot. "I don't want to see you in here again.''
