Former May 24th champ still missing

Champion has gone missing: Surrounded by a fleet of motorbikes, four-time Marathon Derby champion Calvin (Baldy) Hansey runs unchallenged as he collects his last title in 1974. Mr. Hansey is currently a missing person and has not seen since August 27.

A former May 24 Marathon Derby champion is still missing after nearly two weeks, despite multiple search attempts.

Police are increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of 75-year-old Calvin (Baldy) Hansey Sr, who was last seen in his Cherry Hill home on August 27.

The four-time Bermuda Day Marathon Derby winner reportedly took daily walks in the Montpelier Road, Middle Road, and North Shore Road, Devonshire Area.

Members of the public as well as Police have spent hours searching for the senior, who Police said requires medical attention.

Police describe Mr. Hansey as being 5'9" tall with dark skin and a slim build. When he was last seen, he was clean shaven, wearing a white T-shirt and blue boxer shorts.

Anyone who has seen Mr. Hansey since 7 p.m. on August 27, or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact the Vulnerable Person's Unit at 295-0011 immediately.
