Government is planning a series of events to inform seniors and health care providers about FutureCare.

FutureCare information sessions for seniors:

l April 20 — 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. — at the Evangelical Church in Paget.

l April 23 — 10.45 a.m. — on the '60 Something' radio show with Fred Hassell on FM105.1.

l April 24 — 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. — meeting hosted by the Young at Heart Seniors' Club at St. James' Church Hall in Somerset.

l April 27 — 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. — at the cruise ship terminal at Tiger Bay, St. George's.

FutureCare information sessions for health care providers:

l April 21 — 11.30 a.m to 1 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. — Paget Suite, Elbow Beach Hotel.

Additionally, letters will shortly be sent to all seniors already in HIP about their transfer to FutureCare.

Said Health Minister Nelson Bascome: "The most important message I can leave with our seniors who are presently on HIP is for them to continue on as normal until they have received their packet of information and FutureCare card in the mail."
