A popular Food Network personality will be featuring Bermuda on her show today.

Giada De Laurentiis, the host of Food Network's Everyday Italian, has become a household name both in the United States and internationally. And her primetime show, Giada's Weekend Getaways, follows the top chef as she visits popular destinations around the world and explores their notable restaurants and activities.

Both programmes have a significant viewership across the United States and internationally.

Giada's visited Bermuda last September. She was filmed during a food-filled weekend indulging in some of Bermuda's signature culinary delights, like rum cake, cod fish cakes and local Rockfish.

Additionally, she took time out to visit some of the Island's popular landmarks, such as Crystal Caves and Dolphin Quest.

The program can be seen today at 10.30 a.m. local time on CableVision chanel 33.

A statement issued by the Department of Tourism encouraged residents to tune in to the Food Network this morning for the re-airing of Giada's Weekend Getaway in Bermuda: "If residents don't get a chance to see tomorrow's Giada's Weekend Getaway in Bermuda, they shouldn't be concerned.

"The programme will re-air a number of times over the next three years. And such exposure will afford millions around the world an invaluable opportunity to learn more about Bermuda's unique cuisine and visitor offerings."
