Is your future secure?: New legislation will ensure Bermudians have pension

In nine days time there will not only be a new millennium, but also a new way for Bermudians to make sure their future is secure.

Because on January 1, 2000, the National Pension Scheme Amendment Act will come into effect.

Every Bermudian or spouse of Bermudian over the age of 23 who is in full time employment will now by law have to have a personal pension plan.

The vast array of choices for the ordinary man in the street can be mind boggling.

At the moment ten companies are offering pension schemes on the Island and anyone who has not yet finalised their arrangements should look carefully at what pension plan is best for them or their company.
