A website to promote musicians and entertainment in Bermuda will be launched by Government next month.

Culture and Social Rehabilitation Minister Dale Butler said it would serve as a directory as the Ministry continues to implement recommendations from a 2004 report on music and entertainment.

And he said a photographic archive of musicians past and present would also be created. All musicians are eligible for a free photo shoot those pictures can also be used for their press kits and portfolios.

He told the House: "A campaign to raise the profile of Bermuda's music scene is also underway and a new 'Rhythm on the Rock' newsletter will be widely distributed this Spring."

Training sessions on event production and putting together an effective press kit will also be set up in the coming weeks.
