A bill was tabled on Friday to increase the minimum statutory requirement for Supreme Court judges from five years to ten.

And along with the Supreme Court Amendment Act, MPs will soon be debating the Bermuda Bar Amendment Act which will require practicing lawyers, law firms and professional companies to obtain professional liability insurance.

Also set down on the order paper was the Motor Car Amendment Act (No. 3) 2009 which will require airport limo services to pay a permit fee of $2,000 per vehicle while other limousine services must pay $50,000 per vehicle.
