Man admits car crimes
A self-confessed drug user pleaded guilty to 13 counts of theft when he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The court heard from Senior Crown counsel Paula Tyndale that last Monday, Andrew Arrorash, 38, of no fixed abode, was caught by a surveillance camera entering five different vehicles stealing the contents, mostly loose change.
On the following Wednesday, he was seen breaking into six cars at RayClan, also stealing change and a white cross key chain, which was later found in his possession.
Also on Wednesday, an employee of Eurocar saw Arrorash as he was rummaging through another vehicle and he was stopped immediately.
He told the employee: "I just got here, this is the first car I went through."
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered pre-sentencing reports before remanding Arrorash into custody until February 25.
