Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner jailed Noel George Washington Campbell for two years last Thursday after he pleaded guilty to possessing ten "rocks'' of crack worth $500 and 13 "decks'' of heroin worth $1,000 on August 21.

Campbell, 20, moved to Bermuda in 1997 and the father of five lived on Union Street.

He admitted possessing the cocaine with an intent to supply and "simple'' possession of the heroin.

Crown counsel Oonagh Goodred prosecuted Campbell while defence lawyer Mark Pettingill represented him.

Ms Goodred said Police motorcyclists stopped Campbell after noting his erratic riding and he was taken into custody.

The drugs were found when he was being searched at Hamilton Police Station.

Campbell had little to say to Mr. Warner other than to say that his wife depended on him, particularly during the Christmas season.

Mr. Warner fined Campbell $500 for having the heroin and jailed him for two years for the cocaine, saying the two drugs "are some of the more serious ones out there''.
