Marc Bean returns to the Senate after election defeat

Marc Bean was sworn in for the second time as a Government senator yesterday morning at the Government House.

Sen. Bean stepped down as a senator when he unsuccessfully ran as a candidate in the bi-election last week for Constituency 31. UBP candidate Charlie Swan won the seat.

The senator was sworn in by Sir Richard Gozney. The ceremony was attended by Acting Premier Paula Cox and Government Senate Leader, Sen. David Burch.

Sen. Bean, who resumes his duties as Junior Minister of Tourism and Transport and the Environment and Sports said: "I am pleased to return to the Senate and I look forward to resuming my duties tomorrow and in the weeks and months ahead."
