Memorial service Saturday for Stewart Mott
A memorial service for philanthropist Stewart Rawlins Mott will be held on August 9.
Mr. Mott, founder of the Stewart R. Mott Charitable Trust and the Fund for Constitutional Government, died of cancer at the age of 70 on June 12.
A supporter of many environmental and progressive social issues on the Island, Mr., Mott was also an honorary member of the Somerset chapter of the Progressive Labour Party.
The memorial service will be held at the St. James Anglican Church, Somerset Road, Sandys, from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. A reception will follow at The Parapet, Mr. Mott's home at 111 Main Road, Sandys.
The events are open to all Mr. Mott's close friends, and memorial donations can be made to the following organisations:
