Two men accused of plotting to import cannabis and ecstasy will have a preliminary hearing at Magistrates' Court on October 10.

Shannon Tucker and Vernon Simons are accused of conspiring with others not before the courts to bring the drugs to Bermuda between a date unknown and January 8, 2008.

They have not entered pleas in the matter, as it will be dealt with by the Supreme Court as long as Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner gives the case the green light to proceed after the preliminary hearing.

In a separate matter, the pair also stand charged along with a third man, Kyle Sousa, with murdering Matthew Clarke, on April 9.

That will also be dealt with by the Supreme Court and the pair remain in custody.
