Among the crowd was Rudy Lamar Smith, 21, and when the man being arrested got an arm free, Lamar began pulling it.

Police decided it was "inappropriate'' to arrest Lamar at the time, but found him later. "All I did was swear at you guys,'' he told them.

Lamar, of Crossland Lane, Pembroke, admitted obstructing Police and was fined $350 by Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.

TOURIST MAKES LUCKY LANDING AC Tourist makes lucky landing A British tourist made a lucky landing on the weekend when she accidentally fell off the balcony of her third-floor hotel room.

The 17-year-old, staying at the Clay House Inn on North Shore Road, landed on the canvas canopy covering the steps leading up to the entrance of the Inn's nightclub.

She was taken to hospital but released the same day having suffered no injuries.

A Police spokeswoman said the young woman fell at around 7 p.m. on Saturday.

It was not known how the incident occurred. But the spokeswoman said the accident was not being investigated any further because it did not appear to be the Clay House Inn's fault.

THIEF STEALS TOILET PAPER FROM HOTEL CRM Thief steals toilet paper from hotel Toilet paper and a television were stolen from a Pembroke guest house on Monday afternoon.

The thief simply walked onto the property in broad daylight and left a few minutes later carrying the television and a bag containing a number of rolls of toilet paper, a Police spokeswoman reported.

"The thief thought he had made a clean getaway until he was confronted by a staff member,'' the spokeswoman said. "A struggle took place near PW's Marina where the culprit dropped the goods and escaped after falling into the water and swimming away.'' TEEN ACCUSED OF IMPORTING GUN CTS Teen accused of importing gun A 17-year-old appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday charged with importing and supplying a stun gun.

Jonathan Alexander, of Woodbourne Avenue, Pembroke, denied the offences and was told he would be tried in March.

The charges state he imported the $200 gun sometime during the summer and supplied it to a Wayne Jones.

Alexander, who said he was represented by the law firm Hall, Duncan and Trott although there was no lawyer present, was given $500 bail with a like surety.

BURGLARS STEAL $500 FROM ANOTHER CTS Burglars steal $500 from another Thieves made off with more than $1,000 on Monday in two separate break-ins.

Someone broke into the home of a Schools Drive, Devonshire resident while she was taking her children to school and stole a safe containing $500 and personal papers, Police reported.

Around the same time staff at a Hamilton beauty store discovered a break-in at their premises. Thieves had made off with $800 worth of fashion watches and bracelets.
