Motorists injured in crashes
Two drivers were taken to hospital for treatment following separate road accidents. In the first incident, a 25-year-old Hamilton Parish resident collided with the rear of a truck as she attempted to overtake traffic.
The woman sustained injury to her left shoulder and arm. The 59-year-old truck driver, also from Hamilton Parish, was not injured.
The woman's motorcycle was extensively damaged.
The second accident occurred after a 35-year-old St. George's man swerved to avoid a cyclist in the wrong lane.
The man, travelling west in his car along Harbour Road in Paget, hit a utility pole to avoid the motorcycle driving in his lane, toward him. The man suffered cuts to his face and his car was extensively damaged as a result. The motor cyclist did not stop.
