A Nigerian guest worker has been accused of handling stolen goods.Olobukunmi Ewedemi, a 35-year-old doctor, denied the charges in Magistrates' Court yesterday.Ewedemi, of Hamilton Parish, is accused of stealing a Bank of Butterfield Visa card between November 1-30.

Olobukunmi Ewedemi, a 35-year-old doctor, denied the charges in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Ewedemi, of Hamilton Parish, is accused of stealing a Bank of Butterfield Visa card between November 1-30.

On December 1 he allegedly received a P-Tech AV Panasonic DVD recorder worth $369, falsely claiming he was the rightful owner of a Bank of Butterfield credit card.

He is charged with making a false instrument, namely a credit card receipt, on the same date.

Ewedemi also allegedly received a stolen Brother printer worth $539, on February 6.

He was bailed at $10,000, on condition he surrender his travel documents and report daily to Hamilton Police Station. Ewedemi will face trial on May 26.
