Passenger Oshea Stowe was 15
Oshea Stowe was aged 15 when he was killed in a car accident in July 2003. The man driving his car, Orlando Burch, failed a breathalyser test and was later sentenced to three years in prison for death by reckless driving.
Miss Looby recalled: "I think that was the night of Warwick Academy's prom. He was in the back of a car; they were hit by another car. There was about four or five people in the car. He was the only one that even got hurt — to the point of dying.
"He was a friend. Somebody I saw every morning. For me it was crazy because it was the night after our last day at school. Our deputy principal Mrs. Parker had just said: 'You guys, be safe. I want to see you everybody back at school the next year.' Literally, the next day after she said that, he passed."
