Police keep 'open mind' about alleged gunman's whereabouts

The man who is suspected to be involved in shooting at Police in the early hours of November 29, is still at large.

Police continue to seek the arrest of Omari Gordon, a 26-year-old Pembroke man.

Police have received information that he is still in hiding on the Island. They have also received information that he has fled overseas.

Investigators remain open minded and although lookouts have been posted internationally, Police continue with inquiries locally.

So far attempts by family, friends and his lawyer to get Gordon to come forward have failed. There is a strong likelihood that others are assisting him.

A statement issued by Police said: "Mr. Gordon is alleged to have committed a serious and reckless act, which put several lives at risk. Police are continuing to actively search for Mr. Gordon and the co-operation of the public is vital to our success.

"Anyone helping him should be aware that they may be prosecuted for perverting the course of justice or for being an accessory after the fact, both of which are crimes punishable under the law."

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Omari Gordon is encouraged to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299 4315 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Hotline on 1 800 623 8477.
