Police report three burglaries on Tuesday

Two homes and a gas station were broken into with cigarettes and jewellery stolen.At around 11.30 a.m., last Tuesday, a light skinned man broke into a Jennings Road, Smiths home, taking five diamond rings, two watches, three gold necklaces and other valuables.The suspect was described as being of medium build, weighing around 155 to 160 lbs.

Two homes and a gas station were broken into with cigarettes and jewellery stolen.

At around 11.30 a.m., last Tuesday, a light skinned man broke into a Jennings Road, Smiths home, taking five diamond rings, two watches, three gold necklaces and other valuables.

The suspect was described as being of medium build, weighing around 155 to 160 lbs.

A few hours later, at 2.30 p.m., the same day, a Paget homeowner returned home to find that a window in his Harvey Road home had been smashed.

A Police spokesman said that nothing appears to have been taken, and it is believed that the would-be thief may have been interrupted.

At around 11.30 p.m., also on Tuesday, an employee at the Crawl Hill Gas Station discovered the front door of the gas station's store had been smashed open.

The burglar or burglars stole an undisclosed number of Marlboro and Camel cigarette cartons.

Anyone with information about any of the burglaries, or anyone who may have seen unauthorised people selling discounted cigarettes, are asked to contact the Police at 295-0011.
