Several events cancelled this weekend

Hurricane Igor shas rained on this weekend's parade when it comes to events across the Island.Thanks to the predicted 40 hours of gale force winds from 11 p.m. Saturday until 4 p.m. Monday most people are planning to stay home.¦ The Bermuda Aquarium Museum & Zoo the Aquarium, the Natural History Museum and the Local Tails Exhibit are expected to open for regular hours today although the rest of the outdoor Zoo will be closed. The facility will be closed on Sunday.

¦ The Bermuda Aquarium Museum & Zoo the Aquarium, the Natural History Museum and the Local Tails Exhibit are expected to open for regular hours today although the rest of the outdoor Zoo will be closed. The facility will be closed on Sunday.

¦ Barring any catastrophic events or damage to the BAMZ facility, the Bermuda Zoological Society plans to hold their Zoobilee: Madagascar fund-raiser on September 25. If it is postponed, the rain date is Saturday, October 9.

¦ Today's entertainment in the St. George's Square has been cancelled, it has also been cancelled on Monday.

¦ Today's Gombey Saturdays in Par-la-Ville Park has been cancelled.

¦ Keep Bermuda Beautiful cancelled its Marine Clean Up scheduled for today. it will now take place next Saturday.

¦ Hamilton Visitor Information Center will open briefly today and will then be closed until Tuesday It will be closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday.

¦ The City of Hamilton Family Festival that was supposed to happen tomorrow has been cancelled for good.

¦ The Bermuda Docs Weekend Film Series that was supposed to happen tomorrow has been cancelled. it will now take place on September 26.

¦ Monday's Walking Tours of St. George's has been cancelled, they hope to resume it on Tuesday.

¦ St. George's and Dockyard Visitor Information Center will be closed until Tuesday.
