Nesio Arruda, 22, of Rockywold Drive, Sandys Parish pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court last Wednesday.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis asked Crown counsel Larry Mussenden where the offence had taken place.

When he responded that it was at Somerset Bridge, Mr. Francis said: "It couldn't have been Somerset Bridge. At that speed he would have taken the whole bridge with him.'' Mr. Mussenden then said: "I think he must have landed at White Hill Field.'' "Yes, I think he was coming in for a landing,'' Mr. Francis agreed.

In sentencing Arruda for speeding at 89 kph, Mr. Francis said: "I guess you were in a hurry.''
