Aquil Richardson and Anthony Dillworth admitted taking handbags on four occasions on South Shore Road in Southampton and Warwick.

Calling Richardson, of Sunnyside Park Lane, Southampton, and Dillworth, of Middle Road, Southampton, the "South Shore bandits'', the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp ordered a social inquiry for Dillworth and an updated social inquiry for Richardson.

The thefts apparently occurred while one youth drove the cycle and the other, a passenger grabbed the goods from the rear wire basket of the cycles.

The thefts involved items worth an estimated $3,718.

Goods worth $221 have been recovered as well as the charred remains of others.

Both Richardson and Dillworth are scheduled to appear May 11 at 2.15 p.m. in Magistrates' Court for sentencing.
