Police arrested a 58-year-old man after spotting him driving his car erratically.

Officers saw the Sandys man driving west near Heydon Gardens and turned their vehicle around and followed him before stopping the car on Heathcote Hill.

As they approached the driver, they noticed he was unsteady on his feet. He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and was later detained at Hamilton Police Station after failing the alco-analyser test.
