Paul's Lane, Paget, shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday and was later taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with facial injuries.

Police are looking for a man who allegedly slapped a 19-year-old youth and snatched a silver chain from his neck.

The attack is alleged to have taken place on Water Street, St. George's at 11.20 p.m. on Monday.

DOORMAN PUNCHED CRM Doorman punched A nightclub doorman was allegedly punched in the face after he refused to allow a man entry into a Hamilton venue.

Police report that the man was prevented from entering Escape Nightclub on Par-la-Ville Road at 3 a.m. on Saturday and allegedly hit one of the bouncers.

A man was later detained by Police officers.

Earlier, a man claimed he was the victim of an assault outside the same nightclub.

The man, who reported the incident to Police at 8.30 a.m. that day, said a man, with whom he had an earlier altercation, approached him at 2 a.m. and started assaulting him.

The victim claimed he was held from behind by an unknown male whilst the assailant punched and kicked him. A silver chain and sunglasses were lost in the incident.

And a woman reported that she was hit around the head by a man wielding a club following an altercation on Court Street in the early hours of Sunday.

The 29-year-old woman was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for swelling to the face and later discharged. She alleged a male approached her outside Court Street Liquors at 3 a.m. and then hit her three times about the head and face.

CHICKEN THIEF FINED CTS Chicken thief fined A Pembroke man who stole chicken from Roosters was fined $100 and handed a suspended prison sentence in Magistrates' Court this week.

Jevon Scraders, of Elliott Street, pleaded guilty to stealing a twenty-piece box of chicken wings and a two-piece dinner from a patron of the Court Street restaurant on May 21.

Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King suspended a 28-day prison sentence for two years.

The 19-year-old apologised to the court and claimed that alcohol caused him to steal the dinner order of John Paul Wilson.

VISITORS TARGETTED CRM Visitors targetted Visitors were again the target of opportunist thieves in a spate of thefts during the past few days.

At Horseshoe Bay in Southampton, personal belongings were taken from a livery cycle whilst the complainants were at nearby Jobson's Cove on Friday. All the items, minus any cash, were later found in a public restroom.

On Saturday at Warwick Long Bay, two vacationers had their knapsack stolen from a secure compartment on their livery cycle around 9 a.m. In the bag were cash, credit cards, hotel keys and other personal items.

Later that day, Police arrested five youths, between the ages of 13 and 17, at public restrooms at Jobson's Cove in connection with thefts from visitors.

A wallet was stolen from a Pembroke hotel overnight on Friday and Saturday.

The complainant said he awoke in the morning to find the wallet and cash gone.

Elsewhere thieves stole a 13-foot Boston Whaler from its moorings close to the Black Horse Tavern at St. George's on Friday. The vessel was coloured white, black and grey.

A Par-la-Ville Road business was raided on Friday, between 8.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m., and a knapsack, cash, bank cards and other personal items were taken.
