The men, aged 21 and 23, were seen tampering with the ignition of a motorcycle parked by City Hall car park around 12.30 p.m. on Monday.

They were seen riding away from the area shortly afterwards.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said Police stopped the men and arrested them on suspicion of stealing the cycle.

Inquiries were continuing.
