Police are investigating the theft of jewellery and a cell phone in two separate burglaries.

Sometime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday someone broke into a home in Mount Hill and stole a quantity of jewellery.

Yesterday morning, a Blackberry mobile device and a straw handbag were stolen from a Hamilton Parish residence. Around 5.15 a.m. yesterday, police attended a house on Fisherman's Hill.

The complainant said that sometime between 11 p.m. on Sunday and 4.30 a.m. yesterday someone broke into her home and stole the cellular phone and bag containing a quantity of cash and personal items.
