Visitors hurt as car and bikes crash

A three-vehicle crash in Pembroke yesterday afternoon left a female motorcyclist in hospital with a suspected broken leg and head and neck injuries.
The accident on Black Watch Pass happened just before 3 p.m. when a car collided with two rental cycles travelling in the opposite direction.
The man and woman riding the cycles, who are visitors to the Island, were both hurt though their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The male rider suffered superficial leg injuries.
The male car driver is understood to have been unhurt.
He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Traffic was diverted from the scene.
