Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the Paget woman, believed to be in her 80s, was assaulted on Monday night sometime between 10.30 and 11 p.m.

The woman, who lived alone in her house, contacted her family after she regained consciousness after the attack.

Mrs. James Barnett said a 41-year-old Pembroke man was in Police custody in connection with the offence.
