Two women were victims of handbag and wallet snatches with the suspects both taking cash and personal items.

The first incident took place on Sunday when a 23-year-old Paget woman and 24-year-old Devonshrie man were riding south on Trimingham Road.

The suspect on a dark green bike rode next to them, grabbed the woman's handbag and rode away.

Inside the bag was a Motorola cell phone, a Canon digital camera, cash and personal items.

The second incident took place on Tuesday on Middle Road, Southampton, near Camp Hill.

The victim, a 25-year-old Southampton woman, was riding on a cycle on Middle Road when a man on a motorcycle rode next to her and demanded money.

He then rode off with her wallet which had cash and personal items.

The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, 5ft 7ins with a round face and facial hair, believed to be in his 30s.

He was wearing dark coloured clothing with a hooded top and a black helmet with a visor.
