Boater rescued near Pearl Island

Two men rescued a man from the water yesterday when his boat capsized. The incident happened at 7.30 a.m. near Pearl Island in the Great Sound. The pair pulled the 58-year-old to safety aboard their vessel.
He was last night in a stable condition on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The man had been wearing a life jacket while in a punt.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to commend the two men who came to the aid of the victim. Inquiries into this incident by the Marine Police are underway.
