Breaking News: Police say 31-year-old male targeted in Sunday shooting
A 31-year-old man was targeted in a shooting incident on Sunday, Police revealed today.
Officers issued a further appeal for witnesses this evening, with a spokesperson saying CCTV footage obtained from the scene had helped the investigation progress.
Police searched an area near Boaz Island Service Station in Sandys around 7.40 p.m. following reports of a shooting incident there, but came up empty-handed.
A spokesperson released a statement this evening: “It is believed that a firearm was discharged at the victim, a 31-year-old male; thankfully he did not receive any injuries but was clearly shaken by the ordeal. The victim was sat astride a jet ski in the waters next to the jetty and managed to make off following the attack.”
The offenders were described as two black males and said to be wearing dark-coloured helmets. According to Police, they made off on “blue motorcycle and possibly a grey Honda Scoopy”.
