A man is alleged to have smashed a woman's car windows with a hammer in what is believed to be a domestic dispute.

According to the Police, a 20-year-old Hamilton Parish woman was driving west on North Shore Road shortly after 8 a.m when she was flagged down in the Shelly Bay area by a 19-year-old Pembroke man, who was riding in the opposite direction on a motorcycle.

The man, believed to be the father of the woman's child, was said to have wielded a hammer causing damage the woman's car. She drove off, but was stopped due to the early morning traffic near the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo and approached for a second time by the man.

The incident ended when the man was arrested by Police. The woman was not injured and the car was taken to the Police pound.
