Conditional discharge for urinating in public

A St. Lucian cruise ship worker admitted to committing an indecent act in public when he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The court heard from Crown counsel Robert Welling that around 3.13 a.m. on January 11, officers noticed 26-year-old Dave Dujon, of Castries, Saint Lucia, urinating on Water Street, St. George's outside the Bank of Bermuda.

They approached Dujon about the issue and he said: "I'm sorry, I'm not from here."

He was then arrested and taken to Southside Police Station.

Asked if he had anything to say, Dujon told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that he was sorry. Dujon was given a six-month conditional discharge.
