Customs denies rumour that sniffer dogs have been pulled from airport

Government has scotched rumours that sniffer dogs have been withdrawn from airport operations.Rumours have been circulating that Customs dogs which search for drugs are no longer patrolling the arrivals hall at L.F. Wade International Airport. However a Government spokeswoman confirmed the canine section was still operational."The Department of Customs utilises the canine section based on risk and they are used at the arrivals facility, ramp, baggage belt, cargo shed, Bermuda Mail Processing Centre and the Courier Section when at the L.F. Wade International Airport," she said.
