The overtime ban on the docks is into its second week with supermarkets complaining it's leading to longer waits for food.

The dispute erupted on May 8 after the union lost patience with management in pay talks.

It means the unloading of the Oleander, which brings nearly 200 containers every week, starts a day late.

Yesterday, Lindo's manager Zach Moniz said it meant perishable items weren't getting put on the shelves until much later in the day.

And when items arrived on a shared container it could mean items were held up even longer.

He said: "Things like chicken and produce have been affected."

Neither Bermuda Industrial Union or Stevedoring Services returned calls yesterday for an update on the dispute.
