Driver was three times over the alcohol limit
A man three times over the legal alcohol limit was caught drinking and driving after colliding with a wall on Harbour Road.
Gregory Louis Steede, 27, of Bostock Hill in Paget, was found by Police on April 19 on Harbour Road with several cuts and abrasions to the forehead.
Nearby was his damaged vehicle, whose rear was found elevated off the ground while the front had collided with a wall.
Steede admitted to driving while impaired when he appeared in Magistrates' Court.
A breathalyser test conducted after the incident showed that he had 225mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
Steede apologised to the court and the public for his actions and was given a $1,000 fine and ten demerit points, in addition to being disqualified from all vehicles for 12 months.
