Erratic motorcycle rider admits he was impaired
A Paget man spotted by Police riding his bike in an erratic manner admitted he was drunk at the time.
Stefano Giraboldi, of Paget Drive, pleaded guilty to the sole charge in Magistrates' Court.
The court heard the 39-year-old was riding a cycle towards the roundabout on Trimingham Hill, in Paget, on November 21.
He was seen swerving from side to side while riding around the roundabout before moving into the opposite lane and almost hitting a Police car.
The officers turned the car around and followed the defendant, attempting to stop him.
Giraboldi pulled into Rural Hill Plaza, where he tried to put the bike on its stand, and nearly fell over. He was arrested by Police and admitted to the offence.
The defendant was fined $1,000 and disqualified from driving all vehicles for 12 months. He was also given ten demerit points.
